Josie Moore earned her M.A. in Communication Studies specializing in education and leadership and development from West Chester University and her B.A. in Communication Arts & Sciences and her B.A. in Theatre from Penn State. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Communication with a focus in persuasion and social influence in health communication. Her research interests include social norms surrounding stigmatized illnesses and the affects they have on interpersonal relationships, especially those influencing women and children. Josie was a full-time instructor at Penn State York where she taught public speaking, small group communication, business and professional communication, and organizational communication before coming to the University of Maryland.
